Triangle Tango’s 1st Saturday Milonga is held at the Triangle Dance Studio.   Please join us for an evening of dancing and light refreshments.   The DJs and Hostesses will vary month-to-month.  We will also be using either the upstairs or downstairs studio.

“Tango Crash Course - 1″ - Weekend Workshop for beginners & all levels!

This is a “crash course” designed to cover introductory material (as discussed above) to social/improvisational tango for those of you who cannot create the time for tango classes during the week.

 $25*/person if paid in advance by June 11 (early online registration will be available until June 11; you can also pay in check or cash for in advance registration)
$30*/person if paid after June 11/at the door

Tuesday Jun 15th we are starting new 4-week series of  weekly Intermediate and pre-Intermediate classes.

Pre-Intermediate classes will be intended for those who has finished at least one Fundamentals series with us, but do not feel confident enough to join Intermediate class. In these classes we will gradually introduce elements of tango vocabulary, working on there technique and musicality options.

Theme of Intermediate classes will be “Simple Combinations for Rhythmic Tango”. We will work on precise expression of tango rhythm patterns using simple elements (walk, cunita, ocho cortado, simple turns). For ladies we will focus on developing skills of active following. Also, by popular request, at the beginning of each class we will do some exercises for balance improvement.

Schedule:
7:30 – 8:30  Practica and pre-Intermedite class,
8:30 – 9:30  Intermedite class.

Price: $32/person for 4-week series, $10/person for drop-in.

Enjoy dancing tango in the warm and inviting Open Eye Cafe. Nestled in the heart of Carrboro, passers-by admire the milonga through the large picturesque windows. Enjoy a hot cappuccino, a rich porter, or a glass of fine wine. Triangle Tango’s 3rd Friday Milonga at Open Eye is one of the best in the Triangle.
