Marc’s first exposure to tango was in 1995, when his girlfriend introduced him to it. Living in Seattle, he took advantage of the great tango scene and focused on this art. It eventually led him to become a tango traveler, mainly to various cities in Europe and Buenos Aires.
Marc started DJing in Seattle about ten years ago. He has DJ’d in Canada and Nevada and is one of the regular DJs at Cachirulo, a popular Friday milonga in Seattle. He especially likes traditional tango music from the 30’s to the 50’s. Marc loves watching people enjoy dancing to beautiful music and believes that the joy is fostered by consistent moods within a tanda (rhythmic or melodic) and by the contrast of musical styles between tandas.
